Video: The Rock's inspirational XFL kickoff speech will have you rooting for the league

Put aside any feelings you may (or may not) have about the start of third iteration of the XFL that kicked off earlier today.

Before the league's official 3.0 kickoff today, The Rock took the microphone and showed of his entertainment chops in sharing an inspirational message that happened to be aimed mostly at the players.

"They told you the dream was over, but here's the truth - your dream is just beginning."

"...because what you're going to do, is you're going to come out onto this field and you're going to line up and show the world what it's like to be truly hungry with that chip on your shoulder, and I know because I have that same chip."

The came the phrase that really got me.

"We are here because the 'X' of the XFL represents the intersection of dreams and opportunity. You bring the dreams, we'll bring the opportunity."
