According to Forbes, a 30-second spot in a Super Bowl 50 commercial is selling for a record $50 million. That figure, which amounts to about $150,000 per second, is a television advertising record.
The ad space is so popular that companies ate up all the available slots months ago back in November, in large part due because their commercials are expected to be viewed by an estimated 100 million viewers when the Panthers take on the Broncos on Sunday.
So are any of these ads that have leaked before the big game worth that kind of money? You be the judge, but Terrell Owen's face in the Butterfinger ad might be worth that kind of money, and the Shock Top ad towards the bottom is my personal favorite.
You know the big boys like Doritos, Coke, Snickers, Mountain Dew and Budweiser will have a few noteworthy ones too, so make sure you urge everyone to stay quiet during the commercials at your respective Super Bowl party.
