Virginia Tech reportedly filling their running backs job with Big Ten assistant (Elijah Brooks)

Brent Pry continues to rebuild his staff after several assistants have departed over the past few months...

According to a report this morning, Pry has his guy to fill the opening on his offensive staff, and he's coming from the Big Ten.

Maryland running backs coach Elijah Brooks is expected to leave Mike Locksley's staff to accept the same position in Blacksburg. Brooks has now issued his goodbye tweet to Terp Nation.

The 2022 season was Brooks' fourth season on the Terps sidelines working with the running backs.

Before joining the major college coaching ranks, Brooks served as the head coach at east coast power DeMatha HS (MD) where he helped mentor a number of future FBS and NFL players.

Over the last three years, Brooks has developed two Maryland running backs that have been drafted.
