Washington & Jefferson announces new offensive coordinator, weeks ahead of opener (Washington & Jefferson Football)

Washington & Jefferson has announced Shawn Glosek as its new offensive coordinator, two and a half weeks before the Presidents open the season.

Glosek spent the 2023 season as the running backs coach at Valdosta State, but originally joined Ohio Northern as their offensive coordinator for the 2024 campaign. He replaces Aaron Krepps, who is no longer with the staff. Glosek spent 2020 at W&J as passing game coordinator.

"We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Glosek to our staff," said head coach Mike Sirianni. "He will be a valuable asset returning to our offense with his familiarity of how we function. Aaron Krepps did a great job in the position and we thank him for his time as our offensive coordinator this past year."

Washington & Jefferson is a Division III school in Washington, Pa. The Presidents went 9-2 in 2023, averaging 34 points a game and ending with a 46-21 triumph over the US Merchant Marine Academy in the ECAC James Lynah Bowl.

At ONU, first-year head coach Andy Fries does not have a designated offensive coordinator following Glosek's departure. His work as Rose-Hulman's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach from 2020-23 earned him the Ohio Northern job, so that could be the cleanest option with the Polar Bears' season opener approaching on Sept. 7.

Washington & Jefferson opens its season Sept. 7 against St. Vincent.
