Mack Brown has put together some impressive staffs over the years during stops as a head coach at Appalachian State, Tulane, North Carolina, and Texas.
Now back for his second stint leading the Tar Heels, Brown believes he's put together his best staff yet.
During a team meeting recently, Mack introduced his full staff to the players and among them was Stacy Searels who just arrived on campus about 30 minutes before the team meeting. By all accounts, things start off pretty standard, but when it comes time for Tim Brewster to talk about the guy he's spent 14 years working with, things take a passionate turn.
Coach Brew, who spent last season on Jimbo Fisher's staff at Texas A&M, shared with the team that "I'm here because I love Mack Brown. If Bubba Cunningham would have hired anyone else, I wouldn't be here. It gets me fired up to be here."
"We have the best coach in the country in Mack Brown. If you listen, and you do what he says, we will win championships."
Then, defensive line coach Tim Cross get a chance to address the guys and he ramps it up to the next level, holding back tears just after sharing his name and the position group he'll be in charge of. Then Cross brings the juice.
The way that the meeting ends is something you've got to take in for yourself - #LetsGetThisWork.
