The chaos that was Week 6 allowed the Scoop staff to go a perfect 3-0 in our upset picks. Scott had Florida over Tennessee, Doug needed a miracle to nail Arizona State over USC, and Zach pegged Kentucky over South Carolina.
This season: Scott (3-3), Doug (3-3), Zach (2-4)

The line started at N.C. State minus-6 and has since moved to minus-4, and I have no idea how the Pack was ever a favorite to begin with. N.C. State ran to a 4-0 record against shaky competition, jumped out to a 24-7 lead on Florida State, and has since been outscored 90-17 by FSU and Clemson. Boston College has had two weeks to prepare for this game, and I think they take down a beleaguered Wolfpack bunch.

This is a pivotal week for me to take over the #1 spot here on staff, and thus take over (temporary) bragging rights, so I'm going to roll with Air Force as a 7-point underdog over Utah State. Troy Calhoun's gang won just 2 games a year ago, and are rolling with swagger to the tune of a 5-1 start this year, with their only loss coming against a Craig Bohl coached Wyoming squad. These guys playing with confidence can be a scary thing.
Scott: over

Before the season I never would have guessed that FIU would have three wins by now (confession: I didn't spend a single minute before the season thinking about FIU). However, the reality is that FIU is on a bit of a roll with back to back wins at UAB and over FAU. Somehow FIU is a 10-point dog at UTSA. I'm rollin' with the fightin' Ron Turners to make this FIU's first three game win streak since the 2011 season.
