Well this is fun. NIU is spoofing pop culture hits to advertise summer tour

First, Arizona put their own spin on the pop culture classic "Speed", now it appears that Northern Illinois has followed their lead.

In an effort to publicize their summer speaking circuit with the program's head coaches, head football coach Rod Carey dressed up at Elwood from the "Blues Brothers" and reenacted a scene with head wrestling coach Ryan Ludwig. One of the first stops of the tour is in Chicago, so props for finding this line and having some fun with it.

For those of you that haven't seen the movie, the original video is first. Followed by the NIU spoof with coach Carey.

Northern Illinois vice president / athletic director Sean Frazier has gotten in on the action too, reenacting the opening credits of the hit show "The Rockford Files", for their stop in Rockford, Illinois. See the original opening for The Rockford Files here. Nice attention to detail in this one.
