Fan maps come out every so often and though the results are always flawed, they're always fun to at least take a gander at.
This time around, RedditCFB took a poll of nearly 3,500 users to map the most popular college football programs in each county across America. These results are anything but scientific, and the small, self-selected sample size leads to some admittedly funky results (Tulane in New Mexico? Stanford in South Dakota?) but the exercise is still a useful exercise in examining larger-swath trends.
While you're at it, compare these results with the most authoritative college football fan map possible until the U.S. Census Bureau gets involved.
