The Atlantic Coast Conference does not have an undefeated team nor a team inside the AP Poll's top-10 rankings.
It might not have a top-10 team in Tuesday night's edition of the all-important College Football Playoff rankings.
Don't tell Pat Narduzzi, the league's second-longest tenured head coach amidst his 10th season atop the Pitt program.
After a 7-0 start, the Panthers have dropped their last two ACC games at SMU and home against Virginia.
"I'll say this again: the ACC, from top to bottom, is the best conference out there," Narduzzi told reporters Monday. "Every weekend anybody can beat anybody.
"The Virginia football team was a good team. They've got their whole entire offensive line back. They were down three guys. They weren't out for the year.
"I think the ACC is top to bottom is really good. Yeah, it hurts when you're beating each other up, no question about it."
Narduzzi said disrespect against the ACC has been prevalent since before the season kicked off in late August.
"I don't go evaluate it; the disrespect is there preseason," Narduzzi added. "I'm sure it's there midseason."
