Willie Taggart, Pep Hamilton among 40 selected to take part in NFL Coaching Accelerator program (Willie Taggart)

Next week, the NFL will host their second annual session of the coach accelerator program.

The program aims to increase the interaction and exposure between owners and front office personnel and a diverse group of coaching talent allowing both sides to network and develop as the NFL continues its quest to have more diverse representation among their head coaches.

The 40 selected individuals were chosen based on their "high potential to be considered for head coaching positions in the future."

Of the 40 chosen, 16 of them will be returners from last year's session.

The list of those chosen to participate was released today and includes many recognizable names that have recently been hot on the NFL head coaching market such as Sean Desai and Brian Johnson (Eagles), Anthony Lynn (49ers), and Teryl Austin (Steelers).

The list also includes some former college coaches now in the league like Willie Taggart (Ravens), Scottie Montgomery (Lions), Jeff Nixon (Giants), and Pep Hamilton.
