Wyoming has announced plans for a $44 million renovation and expansion of the current Rochelle Athletics Center that will "triple the size of the current facility" according to the press release.

A $3 million lead gift has been collected, and the state of Wyoming has agreed to doubled that donation. Overall, the project will be funded by a total of $24 million in private support, capped off by match of nearly $20 million in total from the state.

That money will help to turn the facility, which currently sits at 48,000 square-feet, and transform it into a 126,000 square-foot facility, giving the facility 50-yards behind the north end zone a completely new look and feel. The Veteran's memorial will be moved to the south end zone where it will be accompanied by a new 80-foot wide video board and video messaging boards will be added to the east and west stands along with a new sound system.

The release proudly states numerous times that when the facility is completed, it will be the premier facility in the Mountain West. Heading into his second season with the Cowboys, this has got to be very exciting for Craig Bohl and his staff (who are looking to add a full-time Director of Player Personnel/Assistant Director of Recruiting).

The first floor will house the Strength and Performance center and a "tiered War Room" full of team meeting rooms, an expanded locker room, and an exhibit hall to show off the tradition of Wyoming football. The current coaches offices and meeting rooms on the second floor will be redesigned and enlarged, and the floor will also include a new training table set up.

It's hard to tell from the early renderings, but when it's all said and done, Wyoming may just actually have a legit argument for the best facility in the conference. The top dog in the conference right now is probably Boise State, and here's a look at what the Broncos are working with.
