Ole Miss dishes raises, extensions to Lane Kiffin's coaching staff (Lane Kiffin Salary)

An 11-2 season, a Peach Bowl victory and a top-10 finish have inspired Ole Miss to increase its investment in Lane Kiffin and his coaching staff.

The Rebels have approved raises and/or extensions to all seven of Kiffin's returning assistants, starting with the coordinators.

Defensive coordinator Pete Golding and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr., are under 3-year deals that start with $150,000 raises for this coming season. Golding will earn $2.15 million in 2024 (up from a scheduled $2 million), with $100,000 annual bumps through 2026. Weis will make $1.65 million in 2024 (up from a scheduled $1.5 million) with $100,000 annual raises through 2026.

Among the returning assistants, Jake Schoonover was the big winner. He netted a 25 percent raise in his return for Year 2 as the Rebels' special teams coordinator. Offensive line coach John Garrison and running backs coach Kevin Smith signed new 2-year deals without raises, and safeties coach Wes Neighbors III inked a 1-year contract under the same salary he earned in 2023.

New co-defensive coordinator Bryan Brown will earn significantly more than former corners coach Keynodo Hudson, but new tight ends coach Joe Cox will earn less than former tight ends coach John David Baker, who also carried a co-coordinator title. Not included in the document dump was the contract for general manager Billy Glasscock, who was hired away from Texas.
