After losing Junior Adams to the Dallas Cowboys recently, Dan Lanning and Oregon have landed one of the top young coaches in college football to come coach the Ducks receivers.
Ross Douglas, who spent last season coaching the receivers and serving as pass game coordinator under Fran Brown at Syracuse, is set to become the new receivers coach in Eugene, per multiple reports.
Last fall Syracuse led all of college football in passing offense in Fran Brown's first season as a college head coach.
The Orange threw for 370 yards per game. The next closest team was Ole Miss at 351 yards per game.
Before joining Brown's staff, Douglas coached receivers for Bill Belichick with the Patriots and also spent time as a defensive analyst in New England.
A former three-star recruit coming out of high school, Douglas played at both Michigan and Rutgers before beginning his coaching career.
In Eugene, he will join forces with an offensive staff led by Will Stein, who for years has been regarded as one of the best play callers in college football at just 35 years old.
