Whether you hate or love the apparel-dominated world of college sports we live in today, you have Miami to thank for it. In 1987, the 'Canes became the first athletics department to sign a program-wide apparel contract with one retailer: Nike. The U and The Swoosh have been intertwined ever since. Until now.
After 27 years with Nike, Miami announced in January it had switched to Adidas, and on Saturday night the Hurricanes unveiled their new look.
And in typical Miami fashion, the official unveiling took place at a South Beach club.
For clarity's sake, we'll show you photos Adidas took in a studio.

Impressed yet? Adidas went heavy on its new "sliced up stripes and barbed wire piping" template seen previously on UCLA's uniforms.

Thankfully, rumors of orange facemasks can be put to bed - for now, at least.

All in all, they could have been better, but they could have been worse, too. What do you think?
