Princeton has filled its vacancy at running backs coach, FootballScoop has learned.
Jason Nichols, who most recently coached the slotbacks for Jeff Monken at Army, has landed with the Tigers to coach running backs for Bob Surace.
Nichols, who has coached in a variety of on-field roles and also served in key personnel positions throughout his career, was a star player at East Carolina, where's he logged two different stints on staff at his alma mater.
Additionally, Nichols helped guide Sacred Heart to strong success in the early 2000s.
He's coached at Appalachian State, Louisiana-Monroe, Kent State and Toledo, as well as FCS program Western Carolina.
Princeton has had to retool much of its staff this offseason, after losing well-regarded offensive coordinator Mike Willis to the head coaching position at Marist.
The Tigers closed the 2023 campaign 4-3 in the Ivy League, a game out of earning a tie for the conference title. They are scheduled to open the 2024 season Sept. 21 at Lehigh.
