Oh, to be the son of a major college football coach.
That life is not easy, to be sure, but it's a childhood that a precious few get to experience. You get a hundred different big brothers every year, the best seat in the house to all your favorite team's game, the run of the castle that is the football offices and, in the case of Aaron and Cason Walters, you get to star in your team's new uniform reveal video.
Purdue unveiled its new uniforms on Thursday, with the sons of head coach Ryan Walters "playing" the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

It's the same mixture of black, gold and white as before, just streamlined: gold-white-gold stripes on the black jersey, with black-white-black stripes on the gold pants. On the away uniforms, we get black-gold-black striping on both the shoulders and the hips.
And gone are the train-track stripes on the black helmets. A pity.
Still, the jerseys are a massive upgrade from whatever this was.

Overall, many have compared the new uniforms to the Drew Brees-era look of Boiler football.

The striping, font, and word mark above the numbers are all different, but the general feeling of a traditional, straight forward uniform is the same.
For Aaron and Cason's sake, here's hoping Purdue wins like it did when Brees was in uniform.
