SEC Media Days, originally planned for July 13-16 will not take place on those days John Talty is reporting.
Earlier this month the SEC had announced that media days would be held virtually this year; but now even the timing is changing.
Talty's report adds that media days are now expected to be held virtually sometime late July or early August.
Honestly, the move makes sense. Everyone is subject to changing health conditions and the longer they wait the better informed all parties will be. If Media Days were held beginning the 13th just about every coach would offer some form of, "Well, we're trying to keep everyone healthy and planning to play ball in the Fall. We plan to follow the lead of University and Conference leadership."
One would think many other conferences would opt for a similar delay given the current uncertainties involved with playing in the Fall.
Dave Matter adds that he has heard the SEC coaches segments could be held in prime time once dates are finalized.
