Scott Cochran is no longer part of Georgia staff (Alabama)

Update >> Georgia has announced that Cochran, as well as offensive analyst Darrell Dickey, have left the staff to pursue other opportunities

According to multiple reports this morning, Scott Cochran is no longer part of Kirby Smart's staff at Georgia.

Cochran joined Kirby in Athens after a 13-year run as the head strength coach at Alabama under Nick Saban for an opportunity to get on-the-field as special teams coordinator.

In August of 2021, Smart announced that Cochran was stepping away from the program to focus on his "mental health and well-being."

He maintained his special teams coordinator title at that time, but transitioned to an off-field role when he returned to the program.

While at Alabama, Cochran was an instrumental part of the Tide dynasty that captured six national titles during his time in Tuscaloosa.
