Most of the Power Five programs that hired a new head coach during the past few weeks have rolled out a video that follows them around on their first day on campus as head coach.
ECU did a really nice job with this one featuring Scottie Montgomery, the man tasked with following the beloved Ruffin McNeill to lead the program into the future.
The video starts with him signing his contract in the morning in front of his wife and three kids, before beginning the trek to ECU's campus where he met with the team, some administrators, as well as the chancellor and Mayor before his introductory presser - all before 11am.
The video ends much like it started, with Montgomery around his family, doing an interview with his arm around his son after stepping away the podium.
After watching the video, it's easy to see what ECU saw in Montgomery that led them to deciding he was the right man to lead the program. Along with being an outstanding coach with an impressive track record, coach Mo is very smart, a great communicator, and very genuine in everything he does.
