Earnest Collins will not return at Northern Colorado, a source told FootballScoop on Friday.
Collins had led his alma mater since 2011 after serving as Alcorn State's head coach from 2008-09.
The Bears completed a 2-10 season with a 28-21 loss to Cal Poly on Saturday. UNC went 2-9 in 2018, 3-7 in 2017 and 28-72 in Collins' nine seasons.
Northern Colorado is an FCS school that competes in the ultra-competitive Big Sky Conference.
