Mo Linguist is expected to hire Chris White to his Buffalo staff, sources told FootballScoop on Thursday. White will be the Bulls' special teams coordinator.
Linguist and White worked together briefly at Michigan, where Linguist spent three months and change as a co-defensive coordinator and White worked as an analyst. White joined the maize and blue in 2020 after coaching tight ends for the Detroit Lions in 2019.
White has previous special teams experience in the NFL and college football. He spent 2009-12 as the Minnesota Vikings' assistant special teams coordinator and also coordinated special teams at Syracuse.
White will be the third coordinator on Linguist's new Buffalo staff. Joe Cauthen has come aboard as defensive coordinator and Shane Montgomery as offensive coordinator.
This morning we shared that Linguist is hiring another key staffer away from a MAC rival program.
More hires are expected to be finalized today and tomorrow.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
