Perennially one of the top programs at the small college level, Wheaton (D-III - IL) is looking for a new play caller.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Thunder offensive coordinator Andrew Bowers is no longer with the program.
Bowers is an alumnus of Wheaton who spent the past five seasons coaching the Division III power.
He started off as an offensive assistant before being promoted to special teams coordinator prior to the 2020 campaign.
Following the end of the 2021 season he was elevated to offensive coordinator, and had held the role the last several seasons.
In addition to being the offensive play caller, Bowers was also the team's quarterbacks coach.
Wheaton finished the 2023 regular season 9-1 overall and ranked 10th in the country, and were selected for an at-large bid for the Division III playoffs. There, they fell in the second round to Wisconsin-Whitewater 49-42.
