Danny Langsdorf will join Karl Dorrell's new Colorado staff, sources told FootballScoop on Wednesday.
Langsdorf is currently the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at UNLV. It is believed Langsdorf will coach the Buffs' quarterbacks while Darrin Chiaverini coordinates Colorado's offense and coaches wide receivers.
A former Boise State quarterback, Langsdorf is a longtime Mike Riley lieutenant, coaching under him in both of his stints at Oregon State and from 2015-17 at Nebraska.
Langsdorf joined Marcus Arroyo's new UNLV staff in January after spending 2019 as the quarterbacks coach on Jeff Tedford's Fresno state staff. He spent 2018 as an offensive analyst at Oregon.
Langsdorf has also coached with the New York Giants, the New Orleans Saints and in the Canadian Football League.
Colorado will revamp its passing game in 2020 after Jay Johnson left to follow Mel Tucker to Michigan State and 3-year starter Steven Montez exhausted his eligibility. No other Buffalo threw more than three passes in 2019.
