Sources: Arizona State to hire player development director (ghalee wadood)

Ghalee Wadood is expected to be hired as Arizona State's new director of player development, sources told FootballScoop on Monday. Wadood's hiring could be announced as early as today.

Wadood arrives from San Jose State, where he was hired just four months ago as the Spartans' director of player personnel.

The San Jose State grad joined his alma mater after an impressive run as the head coach at Adelanto High School in southern California. He went 23-5 with a Desert Sky League championship in the 2018-19 seasons.

Wadood also worked as the executive director of the M&D Learning Center in Victorville, Calif., and worked as a teacher and coach in the Los Angeles area prior to landing the Adelanto job.
