Sources: Arkansas Tech plans to hire Bo Atterberry as head coach (southeastern oklahoma state)

Arkansas Tech plans to hire Bo Atterberry as its new head coach, sources told FootballScoop on Thursday.

Atterberry is currently the head coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State, where he has served since the 2014 season.

Both schools compete in the Great American Conference in Division II.

Atterberry led Southeastern Oklahoma State to a 6-5 mark this season and stands at 33-23 in his five seasons. Combined with his six seasons as the head coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville, Atterberry has collected a 74-47 mark with just one losing record, in his first season, in 11 total seasons as a head coach.

As the new head coach of the Wonder Boys, Atterberry takes over a team that went 3-8 in 2018 under head coach Raymond Monica, whose contract was not renewed at the conclusion of the season. Ironically, one of Arkansas Tech's three wins came at the expense of Atterberry & Southeastern Oklahoma State, a 10-6 road victory on Oct. 27.
