Sources: Charles Huff adds former PAC-12, Big 12 assistant to Marshall staff (Theron Aych)

After two years serving as offensive coordinator for Eddie George at Tennessee State, Theron Aych has found his next coaching stop, sources tell FootballScoop Thursday night.

Aych, who parted ways with George and the Tigers in December, is joining the staff of Marshall coach Charles Huff, per sources.

He will serve the Thundering Herd as an offensive analyst, sources told FootballScoop.

Aych brings with him more than two decades' collegiate coaching experience in a key season for Huff and the Herd, who are transitioning into the offense of new coordinator Seth Doege.

In addition to a quartet of years on staff at Arizona, Aych has FBS experience at current Big 12 member Houston as well as UTEP. He's also coached at Central Missouri and in the junior college ranks.

Marshall, a bowl program in each of Huff's three seasons at the helm, opens its 2024 slate at home against Stony Brook Aug. 31 before a pair of grueling non-conference tilts against Power 5 opponents: at Virginia Tech Sept. 7 and at Ohio State Sept. 21.

The Herd defeated Virginia Tech last season.
