DeJuan Rogers took over as the interim head coach of the Belleville HS (MI) program during the team's playoff run following the suspension of head coach Jermain Crowell for what the MHSAA dubbed "undue influence violations."
Taking over a talented roster aiming to make a playoff run with an ongoing investigation into the program and Crowell, Rogers was able to successfully navigate all of the distractions around the team and led them to their second-straight state title.
Back in January, Rogers was formally named by Belleville as the new head coach of the program
Now, sources tell FootballScoop, Rogers is set to join a Division II staff.
Tiffin (D-II - OH) is aiming to bring Rogers on board as their new defensive backs coach.
An official announcement of the hire should come in the next few days.
At Belleville, he leaves behind one of the top high school jobs in Michigan heading into the 2023 season, led by 5-start quarterback Bryce Underwood and an explosive offense that returns 9 starters from their state title team.
He will join a Tiffin staff that went 6-5 last season, with all five of their losses coming in one possession games, including three games decided by a field goal or less.
