Jeff McDaniels is expected to be Eastern Washington's wide receivers coach, sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday.
McDaniels spent 2022 as a senior offensive analyst at Auburn, and was promoted to running backs coach upon Cadillac Williams's ascension to head coach, following Bryan Harsin's mid-season firing. He came to Auburn as part of the Boise State contingent with Harsin.
A former wide receiver himself at Davidson, McDaniels coached defensive backs and served as recruiting coordinator at his alma mater from 2017-19. He also served in support staff roles at Old Dominion and Texas State.
The Eagles went 3-8 under sixth-year head coach Aaron Best in 2022.
