Looking to build on the momentum flashed as his program won three of its final four games in the 2024 season, Gerad Parker is making a strong addition to the Troy coaching staff, FootballScoop has learned.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Tyler Hancock has been tabbed as the new special teams coordinator for the Trojans, who notched wins against Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss in the final month of the 2024 campaign.
Hancock arrives in South Alabama with a strong track record of working with special teams units.
A Kentucky Wesleyan grad, Hancock has been a special teams coordinator at the FBS level and also been a senior special teams analyst at the Power Conference level. In addition to stints at both Baylor and West Virginia in the Big 12 Conference, Hancock has been a special teams quality control coach at Big Ten resident Maryland and at the University of Kentucky.
