Sources: Justin Robinson lands defensive coordinator post at NAIA powerhouse (Justin Robinson)

It's almost like Jason Simpson and the UT-Martin football program have just a tad too much success.

Much like fellow Football Championship Subdivision playoff regular Furman University and Clay Hendrix, who deals with staff turnover almost annually, Simpson is once again encountering the same.

Yet another Skyhawks assistant is taking a career advancement. Numerous sources tell FootballScoop that Justin Robinson is leaving his post at UT-Martin to take over as defensive coordinator for Marian University (Indianapolis).

The Knights advanced to the second round of the 2022 NAIA Quarterfinals.

Robinson coached the Skyhawks' defensive line in 2022, helping UT-Martin to a seven-win season, stellar play in the Ohio Valley Conference and one of the final teams left out from an at-large FCS Playoffs bid -- after the Skyhawks lost a coin toss to fellow OVC rival Southeast Missouri.

Robinson, with an undergraduate degree from the University of Indianapolis and a master's from Indiana Wesleyan, had coached at both the high school and collegiate level before joining Simpson's Skyhawks staff a year ago.
