Western Carolina offensive coordinator Kade Bell is taking the same job at Pitt, sources confirmed to FootballScoop on Sunday.
Bell's Catamounts led FCS at 504.1 yards per game, while ranking fifth in passing, fourth in passing efficiency, and fourth in scoring.
An average game saw the Catamounts rack up 321 yards through the air and 183 on the ground, while scoring 38 points.
Compare that to a 2023 Pitt offense that averaged 216 through the air, 102 on the ground, and just over 20 points.
Pitt finished 3-9 (2-6 ACC) in head coach Pat Narduzzi's ninth season on the job. Frank Cignetti, Jr., was let go immediately following the season.
Prior to his two seasons at Western Carolina, Bell led the Division II South Atlantic Conference with 533 yards and 38 points per game at Tusculum University. Bell coached under his father, Kerwin Bell, at WCU.
Bell started coaching on Kerwin's Valdosta State staff in 2016. He played for Kerwin at Jacksonville University from 2011-15.
