Sources: Kent State finds new special teams coordinator from Big Ten program (Spencer Rymiszewski)

Sources tell FootballScoop that Kent State is bringing in a former Ivy League standout with experience working under Luke Fickell as their new special teams coordinator.

Spencer Rymiszewski, a quality control coach who works with special teams and nickels on the defensive side of the ball, has landed his first on-field coaching opportunity at Kent State.

We're told Rymiszewski will be the special teams coordinator and also coach the corners for the Golden Flashes.

His young coaching career includes working under Luke Fickell at both Cincinnati and Wisconsin.

With the Bearcats, he was a defensive graduate assistant before moving into a quality control role with the Badgers. Before rejoining Fickell in Madison, he spent time with the New York Giants, where he assisted with the defensive backs.

As a player, Rymiszewski was a two-time All Ivy League selection at corner for Yale, where he was the program's lone captain during their first Ivy League title in nearly four decades in 2017.
