Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Jeffrey Duvendeck has been relieved of his coaching duties at Lawrence Tech after three seasons.
Duvendeck was chosen as the first head coach in program history when LTU decided to launch a football program in 2017.
They played their first season in 2018, playing just seven games with a young roster and went 4-3 which included a few club opponents as Duvendeck looked to continue to build the program. The season started on a promising four-game win streak before dropping the last three in a row.
This past season they went 1-9 as a member of the Mid-States football league where they played a tough schedule, featuring four ranked opponents.
Before taking on the job of building Lawrence Tech from the ground up, Duvendeck was a head coach for a total of 16 seasons, including most recently at Culver-Stockton (NAIA - MO). He also spent time as a graduate assistant on staff at Michigan State under Mark Dantonio and worked as the offensive coordinator at Northern Michigan (D-II), offensive line coach at Michigan Tech (D-II), and a graduate assistant at Grand Valley State (D-II - MI).
