Pitt has hired Old Dominion wideouts coach JJ Laster (JJ Laster)

UPDATE >> Pitt has since formally announced this hire.

An offseason of immense change within Pat Narduzzi's Pittsburgh Panthers program is nearing its completion, sources tell FootballScoop.

Looking to fill the role of the departed Tiquan Underwood, who left for the NFL, Narduzzi and new offensive coordinator Kade Bell are set to hire Old Dominion wideouts coach JJ Laster, multiple sources tell FootballScoop.

Adam Rittenberg is reporting the same.

Bell and Laster previously worked together at FCS program Western Carolina, where they helped the Catamounts generate one of the most significant offensive turnarounds in college football in recent years.

Laster was just hired to the Old Dominion staff little more than a month ago, landing the FBS wideouts post just days after Michigan won the College Football Playoff to conclude the season.

Additional experience for Laster includes time at Gardner-Webb and NCAA Division II program Tusculum before his work with the Bulldogs.

A Graceville, Florida, native, Laster was a star running back at Jacksonville University in his collegiate playing days.
