Joe Davis has put the finishing touches on his first staff as a head coach.
Davis, who was tabbed as the new leader of the Leathernecks after stops as an offensive coordinator at programs like Shippensburg (D-II - PA), Albany (FCS - NY), Northern Iowa (FCS), Wheaton (D-III - IL), North Park (D-III - IL), and most recently at Eastern Illinois (FCS), has added a pair of FBS staffers to complete his staff.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Liberty's Josh Caraway is set to join the staff as special teams coordinator / outside linebackers coach.
Caraway served in a quality control role for offense and special teams and previously spent six seasons on the Coastal Carolina staff where he worked with special teams and offense.
Also, Notre Dame defensive graduate assistant Ashton Derico is joining the staff as defensive line coach.
In addition to those two, we're told that Tyler (JC - TX) defensive coordinator Elven Walker has been hired to coach the corners. Walker has previous FCS coaching experience while at Saint Francis (FCS - PA) where he worked with the secondary and special teams.
