Michigan State: After spending the last 25 years at Michigan State, starting under Nick Saban, longtime Spartans head strength coach Ken Mannie has decided to retire. He spent 45 years in the coaching profession.
Massachusetts Maritime Academy: MMA is looking to hire a part time strength and conditioning coach for the spring semester 3/1-6/1. Hours are flexible, stipend is $2,500.00. Dallas Baptist: Dallas Baptist University Department of Athletic Performance – DBU is a Christ-centered, liberal arts institution that is a proud member of both the Missouri Valley Conference (DI) and the Lone Star Conference (DII); we are searching for an aspiring, but experienced athletic performance coach to fill our graduate student assistant coaching position; this position is expected to start July, 2020. Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of the Dallas Baptist University Athletic Performance coaching staff, a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) approved mentor, as well as gain valuable hands-on experience working with both Division I and Division II athletes. The graduate student assistant coach will have the opportunity to train and create programs for assigned DBU athletic teams, as well as assist full-time staff in various capacities. Please note, this is a graduate student assistant position, which provides tuition towards a master’s degree at DBU and includes a stipend as compensation. Applicants must be certified by either the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and have had at least one full-time collegiate internship experience in order to be eligible. Applicants must be committed to serving Christ, our DBU student-athletes and DBU staff. Applicants must also be committed to developing themselves as a strength and conditioning professional and devoted to advancing in the strength and conditioning coaching profession. Curry College: Curry College invites applications for two part-time Assistant Coaches for our Football Program. Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Sport Program. The Assistant Coach is a professional employee of the College with a primary duty of teaching and instructing student-athletes in the specific sport that is being coached. The vast majority of the Assistant Coach’s time is spent on coaching/teaching duties, while a minority of the Assistant Coach’s time is spent performing administrative duties. This position is part time and not benefit eligible. Minimum requirements include; Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline from an accredited four-year collegiate institution. One to two years of coaching experience at the club, high school or college level. (Intercollegiate sport specific experience preferred). Experience in coaching and knowledge of the fundamentals, tactics, and strategies of coaching intercollegiate sports with ability to recruit talented players for the program. Knowledgeable and current on all College rules and regulations concerning eligibility and recruiting related to specific sport that is being coached. This position does require the ability for regular physical exertion including heavy lifting (50lbs) and exposure to weather. The position also requires the temperament and interpersonal skills to work well with the modes and moods of student-athletes within the stress and tension periods of intercollegiate athletics.
