US Air Force Special Warfare: The United States Air Force 13 th ASOS at Fort Carson, CO is currently seeking UNPAID/volunteer Strength and Conditioning/Sport Science intern(s) for the Spring semester. The successful applicant(s) must be ready for a greater than normal internship experience and responsibilities. Along with these greater demands the successful intern will earn future recommendation and opportunities to develop leadership skills within the United States Air Force Special Warfare environment. The internship includes a 5-stage progressive program where the successful intern(s) will be further prepared for their career. Minimum requirements: Must be pursuing career in Strength and Conditioning and/or Sport Science in Tactical, NCAA, Professional, High School or Olympic levels. Motivated to COACH, this will not be observation based. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bachelor’s degree in related field. CSCS as well as current CPR & First Aid prior to January 1, 2020. Preferred experience: use of Omegawave, Heart Rate Variability analysis and the use of social media to drive information to deployed Operators. UConn: The University of Connecticut Football Strength and Conditioning staff is looking for three unpaid volunteer interns for the spring semester of 2020.  Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and working towards or already in possession of a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree.  Candidates must be able to pass a background check and also be CPR/AED certified.  Must possess or be currently working towards certification through the CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW.  The internship will include assisting in daily set up and break down of the football weight room, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, data collection (Catapult GPS), and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff.  This is an unpaid position and if this will not work financially, please do not apply.  The start date for the internship is 1/21/20 and will run through 5/1/20.  All interested candidates please send a cover letter, resume, and three references in a single .PDF to [email protected].

Louisville: The University of Louisville Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for UNPAID/VOLUNTEER Internships for the WINTER/SPRING 2020 semester.  Interns will gain practical experience working within a Division 1 FBS, ACC football program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations, assisting with daily operation and analysis of sports science and athlete monitoring technology, data collection, set up and break down of equipment, and daily facility maintenance. Other individual responsibilities will be assigned according to level of education/experience, attention to detail, and desire to learn. The internship positions and curriculum are designed to provide valuable learning experiences, practical knowledge of the application of exercise and sports science principles, and hands-on experience with leading edge technology and training modalities at the highest level of collegiate athletics.  Applicants must be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to follow directions, possess excellent communication skills, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Minimum qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, ability to adapt to demanding schedule and work in a fast paced environment, a strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach; CSCS or SCCC, and experience with intercollegiate athletics preferred.  This position will provide interns with valuable practical experience, networking and professional development opportunities, and college credit, if applicable. Buffalo: The University at Buffalo (MAC) Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for 3-5 volunteer interns for the 2019 Winter/Spring Off-Season. All positions will be UNPAID. The successful candidates will assist with all daily duties as it pertains to Buffalo Football Strength and Conditioning including but not limited to: assisting with coaching, data tracking, data entry, fueling station management and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning, Matt Gildersleeve. The expected start date will tentatively be January 22nd 2020, and go until the end of the Spring Semester (first week of May). Campbell: Campbell University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking applicants who are highly motivated to fill internship positions for Spring 2019 starting the week of January 6, 2020 and going through May 1, 2020. This is an unpaid position. Interns will have the chance to earn additional responsibilities. Academic credits can be applied towards an Exercise Science or related Undergraduate or Graduate program if necessary. The internship is also Mentor Approved for those preparing to complete the required hours for the SCCC certification. With education through experience being our main goal, interns will be provided and challenged with the key qualities of success in the Strength and Conditioning field. This includes professional development and continuing education, daily opportunities to learn and grow as a leader, expansion of network connections, teaching student athletes’ proper lifting technique, and daily weight room maintenance. Qualifications: strong work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm, effective communication skills, positive energy, willingness to work, Bachelor’s degree or a degree in process, hold certification(s) and/or seeking to get certified in at least one of the major certifications below.
