Campbell University: Campbell University’s Strength and Conditioning Department is currently seeking qualified intern candidates for the Spring 2016 semester. Internship will begin January 11, 2016 and conclude on May 6, 2016. This is an unpaid position. No monetary compensation will be provided. Accepted applicants will gain experience working at the Division I collegiate level and may be able to receive college credit. Interns will be able to earn a recommendation for future employment upon completion of the internship. Intern responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to the following: 1) Assisting with the supervision of athletes and implementation of training programs for various sports, 2) Setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, 3) Assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities, 4) Active participation in projects and assignments throughout the duration of the internship. Applicants must be certified or working toward certification with the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS) and have current CPR/AED certification. The successful candidate(s) must possess strong communication and motivational skills as well as the ability and commitment to work within the mission and purpose of Campbell University. Candidate must have a strong desire to become strength and conditioning professional, have knowledge of multi-joint strength movements, and basic knowledge of the human anatomy.
