Winston-Salem State: Winston-Salem State University is accepting applications for UNPAID Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Interns for the 2015 Spring semester. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Winston-Salem States football program as well as assisting with the other 10 Division II intercollegiate athletic programs as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. You will also assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties. Qualifications include: strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. This is an unpaid position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive professional work experience and if applicable can receive college credit. Vanderbilt: Longtime Texas strength coach Jeff Madden is interviewing at Vanderbilt today according to Bobby Burton of 247Sports. Mason made his name at Stanford working with a cutting edge strength approach, so bringing Madden in for an interview feels like an odd fit.
