Lamar (FCS - TX): The Lamar University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Graduate Assistant for the Winter/Spring of 2016. The selected candidate will begin as soon as possible. This position covers tuition only, however, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning through earned future recommendation, and a pre-arranged part- time coaching position at an outside facility. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision of the Lamar Football team, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, as well as the opportunity to gain hands on coaching experience by implementing the strength and conditioning program for Olympic sports as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Prerequisites include completion of a Bachelors’ Degree, and working toward NSCA or CSCCA certification.
