Colgate (FCS): Colgate University, an NCAA Division I member of the Patriot League Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference, invites applications for the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning position. This is a full-time, twelve-month position. A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science required, masters preferred, as well as related experience in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level. SCC, CSCS, USAW certification preferred. The individual hired will be responsible for assisting the director of strength and conditioning with Colgate University’s men’s and women’s varsity sport programs, ensuring a safe and effective working environment in the varsity weight room, and working closely with the sports medicine program within university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Minnesota State Moorhead (D-II - MN): Minnesota State University Moorhead Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking two highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2013 (August 27 – December 13) internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division II Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with Football and all the Olympic Sports. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and implementing of strength and conditioning programs for various sports, maintenance and cleaning of training facilities, and professional development through internship program. UMass: The University of Massachusetts Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in an internship for the Fall Semester of 2013. A background in Exercise Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology or related field is preferred. Applicants should also be in pursuit of obtaining a CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification as well as being CPR certified. Individuals who apply should be highly motivated, have strong work ethic, be punctual, and have a strong desire to become a future strength and conditioning coach. Daily duties will consist of aiding the strength and conditioning staff with assessments of student athletes, sitting in on meetings when designing programs, implementation of programs, performing proper lifting techniques, motivating athletes, and general maintenance/cleaning of the strength and conditioning facility. Interns will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Nicholls State (FCS): Nicholls State University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill 2-3 internship positions for the Fall 2013 Semester. Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to: Implementation of training programs for football and olympic sports, design and implement programs for assigned teams, assist with the maintenance of the facility, and take part in the internship curriculum (Readings & Assignments).
