Arkansas Tech (D-II): Arkansas Tech University is seeking 2 graduate assistants for the Strength & Conditioning Department. This is a 10 month appointment (August 2016 – May 2017) with high chance of renewal for a second 10-month stint. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training, conditioning, speed, and agility programs for assigned sports, and assisting with Football. Each Graduate Assistant will be responsible for four to five teams based on experience. Compensation: Up to 18 credits tuition waiver for the fiscal year (June 1-July 31) and a monthly stipend. Potential mentorship opportunity to obtain SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Florida Atlantic: The Florida Atlantic University Strength & Conditioning department is accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Intern for the Summer 2016 semester (May 14th – August 9th). Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience; an earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach; as well as college credit toward graduation, if applicable. Please be aware that this position is unpaid and does not provide housing. Duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for all FAU sports; set up, and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated; preferred candidates are to be in a Bachelor’s degree program geared towards Exercise Physiology or a related field; experience in a college strength & conditioning setting. Preferred Qualifications: Working towards a Graduate’s degree in a program geared toward Exercise Physiology or a related field; working towards a nationally-accredited strength & conditioning certification (SCCC, CSCS, USAW, etc.); knowledge/experience working with Microsoft Excel.
