Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals are looking to add a Data Analyst/Sport Science Fellow. This position will will manage the collection and analysis of Bengals performance data sets including, but not limited to video screen data, readiness to train data, wellness data, training data, and fatigue monitoring. The Data Analyst/Sport Science fellow requires participation at all Bengals home and away games and other team events including some evenings, weekends and holidays. The qualified candidate would report directly to the Cincinnati Bengals Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and assist the full-time staff in all phases of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist staff in performance monitoring and analysis using a Global Positioning System (GPS), Manage the integration of current analytical tools into a central data management system, Experiment with new and creative performance metric comparisons, Perform regular correlative data studies looking for performance trends, Assist staff with the design and implementation of football specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Data Analytics or related fields. Master's Degree strongly preferred , demonstrated experience in collecting and analyzing large data sets, High level of competency with Excel, 2 years experience with GPS systems (Statsports Viper preferred), 1-3 years’ coaching experience in football strength & conditioning at the collegiate or professional level preferred, CSCS/USAW/CSCCA/ACSM certification preferred. Time Requirements: Approximate start date of April 1, 2016 to one week after the season concludes. This position must be able to work weekends and some evenings with regularity.
