North Carolina Central (FCS): North Carolina Central University’s Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting volunteer (UNPAID) strength and conditioning coaches to work with Football and Olympic sports. Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning professional; Must have completed or are working toward completing a bachelors degree at an accredited college/university; Must stay the entire summer and volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week; Knowledgeable in exercise physiology and biomechanics; Must have a current CPR/AED certification. Preferred qualifications: Bachelors degree completed, previous internship and collegiate athletic experience, and one of the following certifications; CSCS, SCCC, USAW, or FMS. Rewards: Those seeking to become SCCC certified will receive mentoring from a certified Master Strength and Conditioning Coach. You will learn various training methodologies, in-depth Olympic lifting modalities, and programming. The knowledge and experience gained will prepare interns for potential graduate assistantships and future professional positions in the field of strength and conditioning.
