Tulsa: The University of Tulsa Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Spring 2015 Athletic Performance Internship Curriculum. This volunteer internship will expose participants to all facets of Athletic Performance. Interns will complete both an academic and practical curriculum. Academic experiences include: weekly reading assignments, program design projects, daily meetings/discussions with full time staff members, and weekly evaluations. Practical experiences include: hands on experience in running a Division I Athletic Performance Department, staff meetings, daily maintenance, technology implementation and record keeping. Interns will receive experience working with various teams in a Division I training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Intern qualifications include: enrollment in a bachelor’s/master’s program in exercise science or related field, punctuality, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include: SCCC or CSCS certification, CPR/First Aid certification.
