Radford University- The Strength and Conditioning department at Radford University is accepting applications for strength and conditioning interns and/or volunteer assistants. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Radford’s 17 Division 1 intercollegiate athletic programs, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, and completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be very reliable, highly motivated, and have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Compensation: There is no monetary compensation provided at this time. However, the position offers valuable experience at the Division 1 level, college credit if applicable, athletic apparel when available, and the potential to earn future recommendations. Opportunities for earning outside compensation for working camps, clinics, and athletic events are available. Saint Franics University: in Loretto, PA is now accepting applications for Volunteer Internship positions for Fall 2011. Individuals who are pursuing a degree in an exercise related field (exercise science, kineseology etc) and who have the desire to work in the field of collegiate strength and conditioning are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should possess or be pursuing their CSCS, USA-W or SCCC as well as have current First Aid/CPR certifications. There is no compensation provided for the individual. However, the candidate will have the opportunity for receive valuable D-1 experience with a wide range of sports as well potentially receive college credits.
