Mercer (FCS - GA): Mercer University, a Division I member of the Atlantic Sun Conference and Pioneer Football League, is currently accepting applications for the position of four (4) Intern Strength Coaches. The positions are responsible for Assisting the Head Strength Coach in all departmental functions. Duties will include assisting with football strength training, and writing and implementing team work outs for one (1) assigned collegiate team in accordance with NCAA, Atlantic Sun conference and Mercer University rules and regulations. Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts and other exercises to collegiate teams; 6+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance team work outs; first aid and CPR certified; an accredited fitness certification (preferably CSCS, USAW, or SCCC). Personal qualities desired are: ability to follow directions well, good team work skills, strong work ethic, very professional, loyal, trust worthy, dependable, good people skills and judgment, with exceptional communication and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required. Applicants should have knowledge of NCAA rules and bylaws, and NCAA banned substances and adheres to these practices. This is an entry level position, so the person in this position needs to work within the parameters of the position’s assigned duties and authority; and to be willing and able to follow directions, job duties, policies and procedures set forth and stated by the Head Strength Coach. Applicants should have a strong desire to pursue a career as a full time, collegiate strength & conditioning coach. Positions primarily needed to assist with Football and Lacrosse, and be fully responsible for one of the assigned teams (M&W Tennis, M&W Golf, Cheer; but not limited to only these sports). Appalachian State (FCS - NC): App State has asked us to alert you that they are seeking to hire a Director of Women’s Basketball Strength & Conditioning. Appalachian State University is accepting applications for the position of Director of Women’s Strength and Conditioning.
