Arcadia (D-III - PA): Arcadia University, located in Glenside, PA is seeking Strength & Conditioning (3) interns for the 2015-2016 fall/spring semesters. Applicants will gain hands on experience with Division III MAC student-athletes. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to assist with all 18 of Arcadia’s intercollegiate teams. The applicants whom are accepted into the program will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff with all tasks including supervising workouts, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, teach student athletes proper equipment use as well as professional development through the internship program. There is no monetary compensation for the position, however, this is a unique internship where qualified applicants will have an opportunity to coach and have an impact on student athletes. Applicants will also be trained and properly prepared for working towards becoming a certified Strength and Conditioning coach. Recommendations for future job opportunities and college credit can also be earned. Our goal at Arcadia University is for each student-athlete to reach their maximum potential through our training programs. Requirements Qualified candidates should be interested in pursuing a career in Strength and Conditioning. Candidates should also be highly motivated, strong willed, on time and enthusiastic. Prior weight room experience is preferred. Applicants will gain hands on experience with Division III student-athletes. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to assist with all 18 of Arcadia’s intercollegiate teams. The applicants whom are accepted into the program will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff with all tasks including designing weight loss/weight gain programs, teaching student athletes about proper nutrition, conducting individual meetings and composing pre-game/post game nutrition programs. The goal is to teach each student athlete how a healthy diet, in combination with a strength and conditioning program, will exponentially improve their performance and help them to reach their max potential. There is no monetary compensation for the position, however, this is a unique internship where qualified applicants will have an opportunity to have an impact on student athletes. Requirements Qualified candidates should be interested in pursuing a career in Sports Nutrition and currently enrolled in an accredited nutrition program. Candidates should also be highly motivated, strong willed, on time and enthusiastic. Prior nutrition experience would be preferred.
