Carolina Panthers: The Carolina Panthers Football Organization is currently accepting applications for a paid (1) strength and conditioning internship for the 2016 Off Season program. The Internship will begin Monday, April 11th, 2016 and conclude Friday, June 24th, 2016. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program. Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should hold or be working towards certification from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSSCa, USAW, ACSM, or NASM. Previous coaching experience in a team strength and conditioning setting is required. Knowledge of Tier System Strength Training is highly recommended. The salary for this position is based on a 40 hour work week and the North Carolina State Minimum Wage. Jamestown (ND): The University of Jamestown Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking interested students to fulfill UNPAID internship positions with our Football program for summer and fall semesters. Candidates for the position should be a graduate or undergraduate student in exercise science or a related field and have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Internship responsibilities will vary and will include various duties within the UJ Football Program. Hours will vary throughout the summer and fall semester and may include early morning, late afternoon, or weekend hours. As an intern in our program, you will have the opportunity to work with a Strength Coach who has won three Division I FCS National Championships. Interns in our program can expect to gain valuable, hands on experience in areas such as program design, exercise instruction, plyometric, speed and agility techniques, conditioning, facility and athlete management. It is the goal to equip our interns with the skills needed to achieve a graduate assistant position at the conclusion of their time in our program. Our staff will take the time to mentor and develop interns within our program. We believe that an educated and well trained staff will have a powerful and meaningful impact on our student athletes. Kennesaw State (GA): Kennesaw State Football S&C is currently looking for interns for Summer 2016. This is a VOLUNTEER position, with no monetary compensation, housing or meals provided. William Penn (NAIA - IA): William Penn University is currently accepting applications for a graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach. This is a 12 month position starting March 14th with a two year commitment. Full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend are included along with a possibility of free housing. Candidates must be admissible to the graduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Responsibilities include assisting with the design and implementation for a variety of William Penn University’s collegiate sports. The qualified candidate will be assigned sports based on his/her background and experience. The position will also assist the head strength & conditioning coach, help with maintenance of the Randleman Fitness Center, and perform other duties as assigned by the head strength & conditioning coach. Proven knowledge and experience with sport specific strength, speed, and agility programs is necessary. Candidates must hold a BA/BS in exercise science or a health related field and be working toward certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association or the SCCC through the CSCCa. Montana State University: Montana State University is currently accepting applications for 5-6 qualified and highly motivated individuals looking to further develop their skills in the field of strength and conditioning through an UNPAID internship for the 2016 summer semester. Expectations of the intern include the following: Provide safe and effective coaching on all lifts, movement mechanics, soft tissue and mobility/flexibility work, willingness to assist in daily maintenance and duties of the strength and conditioning facility, strong communication, leadership, integrity, self-confidence, an interest to learn, strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, a desire to improve one’s self for the possibility of future endeavors in the field, and a willingness to work a minimum of 20 hours/week. Preferences of the candidate include the following: Pursuit of a future career in strength and conditioning as demonstrated by the pursuit of professional certifications (CSCS, CSCC, USAW) and/or continued pursuit of a degree in a sport science or related field, CPR/First Aid and AED certification.
