Morehead State: Sources tell us that Yale University assistant strength coach Chris Fee has accepted the head strength job at Morehead State

UAB: UAB has a stength and conditioning internship available for the fall. DURATION: Aug. 12th, 2013 through Nov. 29th, 2013 COMPENSATION: Volunteer, UAB Gear RESPONSIBILITIES: Under administrative direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning intern will assist strength & conditioning staff in the implementation of various strength & conditioning programs at the collegiate level. Full exposure and experience in the day-to-day operation of Division I S&C program. Expected to perform a wide variety of tasks that include: Various and assorted administrative duties Data management Weight room and equipment up-keep and maintenance Workout implementation and supervision Exercise Demonstration & Teaching Technique Pre-workout preparation Post-workout analysis Assistance with warm-ups, cool-downs, performance testing and tracking Supplement provision Research Projects Adhere to the rules and regulations of the NCAA, C-USA, and the policies and procedures of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be completing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science or related field. Ideally will have or be pursuing a CSCS, CSCCa or USAW certification. (CPR Certification is required.) Experience as a collegiate athlete is also preferred but not required. This is a full-time internship (minimum of 40 hours/week) intended to develop serious strength and conditioning coaches for their future career in collegiate athletics.
